I'm Back/ Ink Reset Fail

So, I have been M.I.A. for the past month. Life got a little crazy, vacation, major renovation and some feeling under the weather has kept me away for the last month but now I'm back. I have a few projects that I have completed that just need photos and a few more in the wings almost done. Also hopefully soon I'll be able to post our renovation as its in its final phase.

For today's post I have a Pinterest Fail. I came across this way to stretch your ink, by pressing the reset button on the cartridge.

Pin:

Ink Cartridge Low? Not true... this totally works, my printer stopped printing, saying there was no ink, I reset the cartridge and then printed 50 more documents and the ink still hasn't run out!!! good. I gotta try this one.

If anyone has had any luck with this let me know.

Knitted Sampler Afghan

Ever since I was pregnant with my daughter and took up knitting, I've always had a knitting project to work on. Just recently I finished a project that took me almost a year to finish (mostly because I put it on hold for about 5 months because of finishing my Masters). This knitted afghan is made up of twenty-five squares and five different stitches (Garter Ridge, Seed Stitch, Double Moss Stitch, Basketweave and Reversible Cable). This pattern came from Classic Elite Quick Knits: 100 Fabulous Patterns for Wraps, Socks, Hats, and More, Cozy Blanket. It was supposed to be done in one color but I thought that it would be more interesting in five different colors.

I'm very happy with how it came out and glad to move on to another project.

Updated Night Stands

We are currently redoing our master bedroom. I got these night stand from a yard sale for $10 each. I used Citri-Strip to get the old stain and poly off. This was my first time using Citri-Strip and I thought it worked great, I would recommend it to anyone stripping furniture. Then I sanded, stained, poly-ed and put new hardware on the night stands.
